Study On The Development Of Rural Network Vocational Education In Shaanxi Province

Shaanxi is one of important inland provinces in the western part of China, which is also a traditional educational province in China. By 2006, the agricultural population in Shaanxi amounted to 23.35 million, which occupied 62.77% of the total population in this province. The proportion is higher than the average level of China. According to this proportion, Shaanxi is a crucial farm population area in western China. Thus, the development level of rural education is more significant in such a province with so many farmers. It is well known that rural education, which concerns China's modernization, plays a fundamental and fore-running role in building the moderately prosperous society in all aspects.In China's rural education system, rural vocational education is not only a key point, but also a difficult one. Compared to the well-developed educational resources in cities, those resources in rural areas are so poor. The rapid development of network education provides a new approach to make the rural vocational education system perfect, thus the farmers could gain more high-class service in education. Therefore, how to make full use of this new technology on satisfying the need of developing rural vocational education, which could run without suffering the limit of time and space, is a priority of this article.So far, the development of rural network vocational education in China is in a exploring period, in which the so many authorities"go their own way". The road to developing rural network education is still limited, which mainly depending on agricultural radio & television school and several specific vocational training projects concerning farmers. Thus, how to build a systematic platform of rural network vocational education so as to supply farmers with better educational service, is a difficulty of this thesis. We can say that the base of rural long-distant education is strong, which mainly relying to the relative well-developed agricultural radio & television school. The duly combination between the school mentioned above and relative vocational education training is the future development orientation of rural network education system.This article took Shaanxi province as case, and reviewed the development process of education concerning agricultural radio & television school in Shaanxi firstly. Then the author summarized the problems and difficulty faced during the development process of rural network vocational education and discussed how to promote its better development in rural areas. Moreover, the article put forward some methods and concrete measures from the macroscopic and microscopic perspective, so as to make network vocational education gain better development in such rural areas, improve the rural labor quality and contribute to the sound and fast development of rural economy.
