| Outside the national curriculum, the school-based curriculum play an important role,it can improve the students' knowledge ability, scientific literacy,and develope the student's personality fully.After the reform of national curriculum, the traditional courses in deaf schools have been adjusted, one of the results was that the school-based curriculum appeared as a new teaching activity. However.the developement of the school-based curriculum in deaf schools just started in Jilin province. Just take this for example,the aim of this research is to develop the teachers' potential for school-based curriculum development,ascend the learning interest and improve the comprehensive abilities of the deaf students.The research based on the theories of Curriculum, pedagogy and school-based curriculum development,used the methods of literature material,visiting investigation, questionnaire, statistics, etc.Through all there methods,the author obtained the situation of the development of the school-based curriculum in deaf schools in Jilin Province, and got the following conclusions.1.The leaders and teachers of the deaf schools who were responde nted knew the importance of the school-based curriculum development.2.The mathematics teachers' in deaf schools had the desire to d evelope the school-based curriculum.3.The deaf students and their parents lacked the knowledge of the s chool-based curriculum development.Through the analysis, the reasons of that most deaf schools in Jilin Province have't development the school-based curriculum are as follows:1.Even the local education department encouraged deaf schools to develope the school-based curriculum,but there aren't detailed policy to ensure a smooth implementation in fact.2.Persons in charge of the school have not reached a consensus and given enough attention to the school-based curriculum;3.The teachers lacked confidence in the developement of the school-based curriculum even they had the ability to do it.4.And,the students and their parents lacked the recognition and support.Overall, the author made the following recommendations:1. To strength the propaganda of the school-based curriculum;2. To strength the understanding of the deaf school-based curriculu-m;3. To establish the appropriate incentives;4. To establish a sound policy of deaf school-based curriculum. |
