| Teachers'job satisfaction refers to teachers'overall views and feelings to the job itself, career, conditions and the situation of working. It closely related to their enthusiasm for the work, intention to quit, working pressure, organizational commitment of teachers', therefore, job satisfaction of teachers are coming to be the hot issues of international educators. Lots of researches about job satisfaction of teachers have been conducted both at home and abroad and great achievements have made. However, most researchers focus on the Primary and Secondary teachers as well as university teachers with the Secondary vocational school teachers being neglected. This paper studies the job satisfaction of Secondary vocational teachers in the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan region. To some extent, this study fills in the gaps of Secondary vocational teachers'job satisfaction and it's of theoretical and practical significance.This article aims at studying the structure, the status and problems of Secondary vocational teachers'in the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan region and tries to provide some suggestions for the related administrative and management departments and teachers themselves so as to improve the status of Secondary vocational teachers'job satisfaction. The research will be conducted by the use of literature analysis, the interview law, the questionnaires and so on. After doing researches on the Previous literature search and conducting investigation, the author worked out the questionnaire for the Secondary vocational teachers'job satisfaction in Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan region,which is of great reliability and validity. Then, the author sample 550 teachers involved in the investigation in the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan region. After studying on the data, the author gets the following results: (1) On the whole, the Secondary vocational teacher's job satisfaction is in relatively high level in Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan area; (2) In the specific dimensions of job satisfaction, the Secondary vocational teachers are most satisfied with the relationship between colleagues, followed by leadership and management and student quality, with least satisfaction with salaries and enrollment work; (3)The teachers'scores on executive positions are significantly higher than those who are not in administrative positions; (4)Significant influence of geographical location has exerted on such areas as: the whole score of teachers job satisfaction, leadership and management, remuneration, staff relations , work itself and student enrollment. In terms of overall job satisfaction , leadership of management, the work itself, co-workers relations, the score given by the teachers in Zhuzhou is significantly higher than that in Changsha and Xiangtan City, the score given by the teachers in Changsha and Zhuzhou City is significantly higher than Xiangtan teachers score in terms of salaries and enrollment work; (5) Nature of school aspects exert great impact on the overall job satisfaction status, enrollment and student quality, the score of private schools significantly higher than the public schools; (6)The scores between urban and rural schools teachers have reached a significant level in several dimensions such as the overall job satisfaction scores, leadership and management, remuneration. The city school teachers scored significantly higher than that of rural school teachers score.According to the results, the author summarized the existing problems of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan region Secondary vocational teachers current job satisfaction state. Hereafter, the author gives some suggestions for the Government, schools and teachers to improve Secondary vocational teachers job satisfaction. |
