As the development of the educational reform,the problems of teachers'professional are paid more and more attention. It is very necessary to accurately grasp the present situation of middle school teachers' professional development and to make continuous researches on the characteristics and development trend of teachers' professional development in new situation.This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is the introduction about teacher professional development in our country, introduced the research background of the papers from the standpoint of research of the teacher professional development,and then introduced the significance of research, the research methods and research content. The second chapter is divided into three parts which defines the concept of teachers' professional development at home and abroad and history the teacher of development, and then the significant of teacher development.but there are still some ignored problems and challenges. mainly in the following aspects which are analyzed in the the third chapter : the theory and practice disjointed, teachers' salaries and low social status, teacher education system is not perfected, the lack of effective evaluation mechanism. The factors of middle school teachers' professional development are very complex, both the external factors and internal factors. External factors include social factors and school factors, among which mainly include their social status and social expectations, laws and regulations, the training system in school, teacher evaluation and research mechanism. Internal factor refers to the teachers themselves, mainly relating to the the beliefs and motivation of teachers' professional development, professional knowledge and ability, and the teacher burnout.Based on the above various problems restricted middle school teachers' professional development, the fourth chapter put forward four aspects of middle school teachers' professional development approaches and strategies.The aspects are from setting up scientific teachers' further development idea, build the atmosphere of teacher development; reform and improve the system of teacher development key middle school; construct learning-oriented organization and improve teachers' ability, improve teachers' professional development strength.
