With the fast development of Science and Technology, the competition between countries has become more and more fierce. Knowledge Economy is no longer a strange term to us. The21st century is an important stage when we advance China into a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way. TO realize national rejuvenation through science and education as well as to promote education reform and Essential-qualities-oriented Education, we have higher requirements for teachers. It is a must and also an inevitable outcome. Whether the education administration or schools should take effective measures to enhance teachers team construction. No.1Middle School of Ruichang, both a key one in Jiangxi and a famous one in North Jiangxi, has the responsibility to educate more qualified talents for our country. No.1Middle School of Ruichang has achieved a lot in education. Besides, it also makes great attempts to promote the professional development of teachers. However, there are still some problems remained to be settled. Therefore, No.1Middle School can be a good example for us to study and learn more about the problems and strategies of the professional development of teachers. The thesis is trying to find answers to the following questions: What are the problems in promoting the promoting professional development of teachers in No.1Middle School of Ruicahng? How to find out some strategies to the problems?The thesis includes five parts. The first part is the Preface. It introduce the study background, problems and significance. The second part is the Literature Review. It talks about the present situation of professional development of teachers both in China and abroad, the different stages and influencing factors. You’ll find a survey on the teachers’ professional development of No.1Middle School of Ruicahng. It mainly talks about the study problems, study tools, objects of study and some relevant statistics. The fourth part is an analysis of the statistics and it points out the problems remained to be settled. The fifth part is mainly some suggestions and strategies on how to improve the professional development of teachers in No.1Middle School.
