Internet addiction is the excessive use of the Internet as a result of significant social, psychological damage of a phenomenon. APA American Psychological Association in 1997 officially recognized "Internet addiction" the academic value of research. January 15,2010, China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) in Beijing issued a "25th China Internet Development Statistics Report" (hereinafter "Report"). "Report" data, as of December 2009, China's Internet users totaled 384 million, Internet penetration and further improved, reaching 28.9%. Network-based youth groups,18-24 year olds up, accounting for 35.2%, in this age of Internet users, Internet users Students occupy an important position. Students to accept new things quickly, creatively strong, excitement, like entertainment, they become the beneficiaries of the network, but also easy to become a high risk of Internet addiction, so college students study the relationship between the network has an important value.Motivation is the subjective intent of learning activities is to promote student learning activities directly to an internal psychological forces. Ye Siji-Dodson law that motive strength and efficiency is not a simple linear relationship between, but into the inverted U-shaped trend. Domestic Wang Liu (1988) found that "poor academic performance of students, their academic performance differences and non-intellectual level significantly correlated with less intelligence relationship that led to this part of the causes of poor students, such as lack of motivation, passion for learning and learning perseverance and so on. " A large number of empirical studies have shown that students with Internet addiction negative impact on their academic performance. Internet addiction to grades students will drop between Internet addiction and their motivation to learn has some relevance.In this study, Zhengzhou City, four college students were tested using the "Internet addiction self-rating scale" and "students learning motivation scale" for group testing, a total of 1626 copies of valid questionnaires. According to their results, select the 22 students of different levels of Internet addiction were interviewed, and 187 students re-test, to obtain 114 valid questionnaires. The main findings are as follows:1. Zhengzhou City, there are college students in the phenomenon of Internet addiction, Internet addiction phenomenon of college students with the popularity gradually increased.2 college students in Zhengzhou City, the network was using the project on the pattern of diversification.3 college students internet addiction on the network using the project is the most frequently used Internet chat. Very interested in the professional and professional students are more interested in using the network protection factors.5 College Students' Internet addiction associated with motivation motivation according to endogenous and exogenous learning motivation and degree of Internet addiction show either positive or negative correlation.College Students' Internet addiction more serious, can not be ignored, should arouse the whole society and higher education management's attention. Students in the network using the "bright spots" should be given an active interest in, such as:frequently used in the network project, the search engine (Baidu, Google, etc.) accounted for 60.5%, shared top spot; 86 percent of interviewed students perceived their own network addiction has decreased, while the reason is mostly associated with "spontaneous regression", "will control" related. For this, education in colleges and universities who have made the following recommendations:First, it should actively mobilize the initiative of individual students to improve their self-efficacy. In recognition, we should further strengthen the professional knowledge of college students and vocational education, to enhance the interest of the profession; in teaching, teachers should focus on the characteristics of higher education, to stimulate students' motivation to learn; in psychological education, should be vigorously mental health education to help students correct understanding of self, clearly the true meaning of its role in society, to cultivate their good psychological quality, improve self-control.Second, universities should make every effort to improve the hardware and software to enrich students' extracurricular lives. On the hardware, the school should be equipped with adequate recreational facilities to meet the needs of students after school culture and entertainment. From a software standpoint, the school should be more suitable for college students to carry out "taste", the heart can really meet their needs and to make positive and effective participation of cultural activities on campus. Third, the university educators should actively guide students to the normal use of the network. Such as:knowledge about the network to hold more talks and elective courses, to promote better use of the Internet to complete their studies.Finally, colleges and universities have Internet addiction should be actively concerned about the students. Mental health centers should be proactive intervention to help students eliminate addiction internet addiction, successfully complete their studies.
