Although the traditional class management focused on the class teacher has its advantages, it exposes its disadvantages increasingly in the new era when people practice constructing a democratic society. Class is an important place for students' development and ordinary high school students have already possessed the factors for self-management in all respects, which make students' self-management possible. This is propitious for the transformation from the "teacher-oriented mode" to the "student-oriented mode" at the same time improves the efficiency of class management, promotes the all-round development of students and trains modern citizens who can adapt themselves to the social development. Therefore, there is strong realistic meaning in the activity of making in-depth research of students' self-management in the class management. Using the Ordinary High Schools as an object of study, by applying modern management theories of humanistic management, distributed leadership etc. and combining the practice and features of the class management of Dongguan Ordinary High Schools, the researcher has carried out action research of class self-management in his own class. After one year's practical exploration of the class self-management, the results show that self-management is very effective in improving the degree of students'participation in class management, students'ability and comprehensive quality of the class management and the actual effects of class management. Thus it can be seen that the application of self-management in the classes of Ordinary High Schools in towns of Dongguan City is an effective strategy and should be spread and popularized.
