The development of the rural education, the well-running of rural schools, the strengthening of the construction of rural spiritual civilization and the improvement of the moral quality of farmers are the significant and substantial measures to enhance the harmonious development of the economy and the society in rural area. With the constant deepening of education reform, the environment of the teaching of informatization has come into being. Modern information technology has gradually entered the class of primary and middle schools, changing the environment of the teaching, enriching teaching resource. However, because of the limitation of the condition of economy and educational philosophy, the informationization of school education in rural area has a lot of problems in its infrastructure, the construction of resource of information of education and the ability of the application of the teacher, etc., including the problems in the process of implementation, which has impeded the progressing of the informationization of education. It is critical for the schools in rural area to fully understand the idea of the informationization and to choose a new way suitable for the construction of informationization of schools in rural area by means of brand-new thinking.Based on the cultural background and the economical status quo of the rural area, taking the rural area in northern Jiangsu province as an example, this thesis has analyzed the current situation of the usage of information through the investigation on the facility of informationization of education and construction of resource of informaionization and the application of the information technology of the teachers, etc. Consequently, problems have been spotted. It has also made a deep relevant analysis and then put forward concrete measures. This paper is to reasonably and fully put the modern information technology into the teaching of primary and middle schools in rural area, for the purpose of providing the students with digitalization environment where they can study actively and effectively. It is not only the development direction of education of information technology in primary and middle schools in rural area but a significant task, a major progress of idea and even a revolution of technology.In accordance with the need, taking questionnaire as the basic study method, this subject aims at the orientation in the teaching forefront. Three sets of questionnaires are figured out for schools, teachers and their students respectively, in the hope of getting a more accurate data through investigating the status quo of informationization of education in primary and middle schools in rural area and the situation of the application of information technology of the teachers concerned. The result of the analysis shows that the hardware of informationization seriously suffers from shortage and the qualified teaching team is far from the required standard and the awareness of the integration of information technology and courses is faint. If the situation should be changed, the idea should be improved and the awareness should be raised and the management should be strengthened and a good atmosphere where they actively study and apply information technology should be formed. Besides we should get various channels for financing and increase the investment in the construction of informationization of education and integrate the education resource and make the software and hardware develop harmoniously and offer the training for teachers and promote the quality of utility of the information of the teachers. We also should enhance the integration of teaching of course and information technology and build up the reasonable mechanism of assessment of teaching.
