| After 30 years of reforming and opening, China has made great progress in higher education. However, with the economic globalization, the advent of information networking and the tendency of value diversification, the ideological and political education of college student is facing serious challenges. Our party and the state always attach great importance to ideological and political education of college student, therefore, more and more attention has been paid to the team building of college counselor. For example, the launching of the important documents:Proposal from Central Communist Party and State Department about Further Reinforcement and Improvement of College Student Ideological and Political Education in 2004, Proposal from Ministry of Education about Reinforcement of College Counselor Team Building in 2005 as well as Regulation of College Counselor Team Building in 2007, are the symbols that college counselor team building has entered upon a new phase. However, the complicated factors in real working conditions have gradually weakened the vocation identification of college counselor, and even have influenced their working enthusiasm. For a long time, many college counselors treat their jobs as temporary ones or as the transitional stage of their careers, which cause the un-stability of the whole team. This situation not only influences the effectiveness and efficacy of ideological and political education, but also affects the quality of talents cultivation in colleges.This paper aims to analyze the reasons of weakening of college counselor's vocation identification, and to identify the factors that cause the un-stability of the team, then to advance some feasible measures to improve their vocation identification. The main purpose of this paper is to provide the reference basis for college counselor development. This paper is comprised by four chapters.The exordium mainly analyzes the background, and introduces the research meaning and purpose of this paper.Chapter one, expatiates the meaning of vocation identification of college counselor, introduces the development history of college counselor as well as the study achievement, explaining the research outline and theories used.Chapter two, based on the results of investigation, overall analyzes the current situation and problems of vocation identification of college counselor.Chapter three, relying on Maslow's hierarchy of needs, equity theory of Adams and ERG theory of Alderfer, deeply analyzes the reasons of how the vocation identification of college counselor is low. First, the job as a college counselor can't meet the needs of living, relation and self-development; second, triggering from the comparison to the job of college management personnel and professional teacher.Chapter four, by meeting the college counselor varied needs, balancing the difference between college counselor and other college personnel, this paper proposes suggestion from three aspects to reinforce and improve college counselor's vocation identification. That is, promoting the professionalization of college counselor, creating a right environment of policy to meet college counselor's varied needs, setting up encouraging mechanism, and refining the responsibilities of college counselor, to improve their satisfaction and career spirit. |
