The Late-Qing-Early-ROC period occupies an important position in the history of modern Chinese education .It was precisely in this time the continuation of more than 2000 years of feudal system in China turned to semi-colonial and semi-feudal society.The feudal education was replaced by the semi-colonial and semi-feudal one. To meet the needs of social development the Qing Government had carried on the attempt of many kinds of educational reforms and implement a series of new education measures. In 1904"Last of the ten Heavenly Stems Mao Educational systems"the promulgation implementation had symbolized to take English education as the important content near modern new style education official establishment. Although before the new system prior to the promulgation of the English education in our country had been taking shape but really established at this time. After the 1911 Revolution overthrew the feudal despotic rule thoroughly, the English education in the Late-Qing-Early-ROC period continued developing on the basis of having developed for decades in Late-Qing and increased consolidation. This article by a Qing dynasty era background, explore how this period in English education in China spread apart from its infancy. I mainly combine the largest publication Oriental Magazine, carried on under the common people angle of view to discussion the English education in our country.This article is divided into three chapters. I mainly analyzed the embryonic stage of English education in China in the first chapter, including the background of the English education and the earlier budding of specific performance, that is, the appearance of course of English in the missionary school and foreign affair school. My major is to let readers understand our English education at the beginning and English education in the bud. I focus on the chapter II and III in this paper. In chapter II I introduce and analyze the school-based education in the development of English education in Late-Qing-Early-ROC. Due to the Metropolitan College and the Metropolitan College in importance in the history of Education in China, I set up this two and its influence on English education at that time as a separate section. Section II of this chapter is the top priority in this chapter, since Kui-Mao educational system regarded English as the most important ones in the secondary and tertiary education courses. The author present and analyze the further development of English education after the enactment of the new system, mainly through access to Oriental Magazine in the content of education. In addition to the primary schools English education during this period other than the share of education in schools at all levels was enormous. English education in China was established and began to grow up. In chapter III I do the special discussion to Chinese English education out of the major education system at that time. The first section in this chapter mainly focuses on the English education in missionary schools as well as its influence on English education in China, following with the analysis of the rise of women and amateur schools in spite of only a small part of female schools offering English course. In addition, in view of studying education, especially education for students in Europe and America deeply influenced modern Chinese English education, so I give in the chapter devoted to the third quarter.
