The gradual popularization of mobile phones as a convenient carrier of information dissemination,has great advantages. Performance of the timeliness of velocity, implicit form of communication, the richness of communication content, interactive use of the users.These characteristics also make the mobile phone increasingly seen as the "fifth media "following the newspapers, radio, television and the internet. With the increasing popularity of mobile phones and the functional development, high school students also become part of the majority of mobile phone users. They use mobile phones to get information, enhance interpersonal communication, experience of modern technology. Mobile phone provides convenient to high school students living and learning,but also have challenges on high school students'life, world outlook , moral formation and development of personal quality.This paper describes the characteristics of mobile communication and the characteristics of physical and mental development of high school students. Analysis the positive and negative effects of the cell phone on the high school students,the opportunities and challenges to the ideological and political education. Made clear the responsibilities of the teachers, government, telecommunications operators, parents, high school students on ideological and political education.Make everyone participate in the mobile phone ideological and political education.Accurately grasp the trends of the mobile phone in the ideological and political education in high school.To solve the problem of the high school students use mobile phones for a variety of negative issues,and create a new situation of mobile phone ideological and political education of the high school student.
