Ancient poetry is the oldest and the most representative literature and art and the teaching of ancient poem appreciation is traditional teaching contents in the period of senior high schools. The new curriculum has given a new positioning to the senior high school Chinese and also put forward new requirements for the teaching of ancient poem appreciation. The compiling of the ancient poems, including compulsory part and optional one, has its advantages and disadvantages as well, so some measures must be taken in the actual classes. Dealing with the three major issues among the ancient poem appreciation in the textbook framework is essential prerequisite to carry out effective teaching methods, which are the relationship between the compulsory textbook the teaching of selection of ancient poems and the optional textbook the selection of Tang poems Song verses, the link and transition between the teaching of ancient poetry in junior middle schools and in senior high schools, the combination of the teaching of ancient poem appreciation in senior high schools and the testing on the ability to appreciate the ancient poems. Play a leading role of the teachers and stimulate the main role of the students. On the basis of the effective development and reasonable combination of the course resources, effectiveness of teaching can be improved by respecting the characteristics of the writing style and by digesting the old and new methods of appreciation. Read beyond the lines, break through the techniques: weigh the words , transfer and compare: chant poems, touch hearts through rhythms;draw on collective wisdom and absorb all useful comments on poems; reproduce scenes focusing on images.Inherit the valuable traditional methods of appreciating poem: readers can get a better understanding by learning about the writer's backgrounds and life experiences.Readers can imagine being the poet so that they can understand the poet's purposes and feelings implied in the poem. Search for the changes of literary scenes and topics. Different approaches to improving the students'ability of appreciating ancient poems and experiencing a poetic life should be adopted by encouraging students to write poems in order to make them have a better appreciation through practice...
