From the last century ninety's, in some areas of China, part of the school started to physical or basketball skills as the leading factor of the level of basketball teaching reform experiment. This kind of teaching mode is first changed the traditional teacher-centered teaching methods, to basketball teaching with the students as the main body, according to the interest of students choose a project to undertake teaching, students of different abilities to create a corresponding learning conditions, thus to some extent promoted the students' individual development, in addressing the individual differences of students plays positive role. In the process of basketball teaching, due to the high school students' physical qualities, sports skill level, intellectual level, emotion attitude and other differences, led to the students on the basketball basic theory, basic techniques, skills to understand and grasp the differences appeared. How to set out from actual condition, at the same time, let all students basketball level rises somewhat, each PE teachers should think about the problem.To explore a truly carry out the new course standard, basic concept, in line with the current characteristics of the students, suitable for targeted sports teaching way, this article take the Jiangsu province Suzhou middle school first year in high school boys as the experimental object, with stratification teaching method in basketball teaching the application of experimental research and theoretical analysis.research results show that the implementation of tiered teaching is beneficial to students' skill levels improve; performing layering teaching to improve the students' internal motivation of learning, to promote the interests of formation; promote all-round development of students, enhance the cooperation and competition consciousness; implementation of the hierarchical teaching helps to establish good relationship between teachers and students; implementation of the hierarchical teaching can promote the teachers studying business, improve the teaching ability and teaching art. Design and implementation of hierarchical teaching is in line with the requirements of quality education, better than the traditional teaching has the advantage, be worth to be popularized energetically and use.
