On The Contemporary Construction Of The College Student Associations

College student association is a student organization voluntarily organized according to students'interests and hobbies which carries out activities independently in the light of relevant regulations. It is an important force in campus culture construction, a new and effective carrier for quality-oriented education, and an essential platform for ideological education. As the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics develops continuously, the demands of qualified personnel for the socialist modernization have been expanding. Therefore, colleges have been looking for innovative ways and education channel to promote quality-oriented education. The significant role association has played in ideological and political education, campus culture construction and improvement of college students'over-all quality has been acknowledged by experts and scholars. Under the market economy, as students'value orientation diversifies and the demands for talents vary, the traditional education model can no longer meet the requirements. Therefore, the thriving association activities are building a huge platform for the students. While it has enriched campus culture, the inharmonious phenomena also arose. This paper studies the problems existing in the course of college association building, and explores and establishes a model for college association management in the new age so as to supervise and guide its healthy growth in a more scientific and effective way, thus having it play a more significant role in students over-all development.By reviewing literature and studying the basic content of student association, this paper briefly analyzes the value of association building to college as well as to students. It analyzes the new features and challenges that arise during association construction and development on the basis of the study of student association building in Changshu Institute of Technology. Focused on the theme of improving the scientific proficiency of college student associations and on account of the common problems in association development, the paper puts forward such strategies as valuing scientific concept of association, integrating association-building resources and emphasizing association system instruction so as to promote the construction of associations.This paper aims to uncover the cause of the problems in a deeper degree by studying the common problems facing student associations so as to clarify the context of association building. In this way, it is possible that the scientific proficiency of student associations can be improved and that the functions of associations in educating, training, and shaping students can be exerted, thus speeding up qualify-oriented education and promoting students'all-round development.
