In mid-20th century, Joseph J.Schwab proposed and advocated inquiring teaching, which was considered to be a new way of teaching, subsequently caused widespread concern around the world. In our new round of curriculum reform process, "High School Mathematics Curriculum Standards (Experimental)" indicate that "mathematical inquiring" is an important part in mathematics courses throughout the high school mathematics, that help students discover and propose and solve mathematical problems, and help students develop their creative awareness and practical ability.This paper using the literature analysis analyzes the theory of inquiry teaching, and this paper combining the theory of inquiry teaching case studies conducted in-depth analysis through questionnaire survey ,interviews and classroom record and so on, which offers some suggestions for the future of high school mathematics classroom inquiry..This paper is divided into the following sections:1.IntroductionIn the new curriculum revolution, it first proposed the inquiry difference between teaching and traditional teaching, and studied from both teachers and students to explore teaching high school mathematics meaning, and it was sort of at home and abroad.2.The research methodsThis study uses the literature analysis, questionnaires of teachers and students, interviews, etc. this paper developes a research framework, and shows the contents.3.Practice in high school mathematics inquiry teachingFirst, the part of paper defines the inquiry teaching high school math concepts, and then analyzes the theoretical basis of inquiry teaching, including Piaget's constructivist theory, Bruner's cognitive development theory, Freudenthal's re-creation of teaching theory, and teaching theory of Dewey's pragmatism. 4.High school mathematics inquiry teaching research and operating principlesInquiry teaching first choices of appropriate teaching content. The selection should follow the principle of proportionality, interesting principles and operational principles. Classroom teaching should create a conducive atmosphere for students to explore the classroom, the creation of the problem situation, students'awareness of problems.
