Study On The Problems And Solutions Of The University Administrative Staff Job Burnout

Administrative system is an important part in a university management. It constitutes the university organic integrity with the system of party affair, teaching management and logistics management. The administrative personnel are the fundamental unit of the administrative system. The majority of them are general staff (officials under the middle-level), who bear a lot of specific jobs and are the foundation of university management. Therefore, it is significant to find out and solve the existing problems for the improvement of administration grade and effect, and it is also a great concern for perfecting the management and speeding the development of the university.Lanzhou University is one of the key universities under Ministry of Education, China. It is influential and important in Gansu Province and even in the northwest of China and its administrative system and present conditions are relatively representative. Therefore, it is both important for self-development of Lanzhou University and can provide experience and reference for other universities in northwest of China by investigating the present conditions on the job burnout of general administrative staff from Lanzhou University and then offering some solutions.The paper takes Lanzhou University for example and the general administrative staff as the subject. It has studied the present conditions of job burnout by sending questionnaire, taking group samples, interviews and observation. The paper chooses randomly from 94 general administrative staff that are from administrative department and schools of Lanzhou University. It draws causes and factors of the professional burnout of general administrative staff from the analysis of the findings and conclusion. Based on that, the paper presents some solutions and suggestions viewed from oneself, society, organizations and so on.
