Standardized training of resident physicians and on-the-job postgraduate education in clinical medicine are two major components of graduate medical education. The former is the inevitable stage of culturing clinicians, and the latter is an important way of improving the doctor's degree. At present, in most medical institutions of China there exists a tendency of excessively depending on degree among physicians, no matter it is the selection of various kinds of honorary titles or promotion. At the same time, on-the-job postgraduate education in clinical medicine is merely focusing on improving their experimental and research ability that on-the-job postgraduates are inferior to resident physicians in clinical ability. Thus, the two training modes each have their advantages and disadvantages. With many courses being the same in the standardized training of resident physicians and on-the-job postgraduate education in clinical medicine, the doctor's participating in both of them will make him study the same course repeatedly, and it will be a waste of human and material resources, financial capacity and time. The purpose of this subject is to study the new mode of combining standardized training of resident physicians with on-the-job postgraduate education in clinical medicine. It can not only improve resident physicians'clinical skills, but also further enhance their educational level, as well as increase the training efficiency of medical personnel to make China's higher medical education follow the international step as soon as possible. The dissertation consists of three parts.Part one consists of the first chapter. This part includes the research purpose and significance, methods, tools as well as the expected result of this project and innovative points.Part two consists of the second and the third chapters. The second chapter shows clearly the direction of the medical education reform of our country by analyzing the history and present situation of domestic medical education, comparison and reference of foreign medical education reforms successful experience, on the direction of medical education reform in China. Based on the case study of the docking mode of standardized training of resident physicians and on-the-job postgraduate education in clinical medicine of Jiangxi province, the two chapters describe in detail the docking mode training scheme, concrete construction and quality evaluation of the docking mode.
