The images of kindergarten teachers have drawn unprecedented attention against the background of rapid development of children education. In reality, creating and promoting such images has following benefits. First, teaching quality and be improved and teachers can adjust their behavior more easily; second, the process of professionalization of kindergarten teachers can be accelerated. However, less focus has been shed upon the real need and expectations of ideal teachers'images in the eyes of children. This study aims to reveal the ideal teachers'images in the eyes of children through listening to children. The author of the thesis acquired data from 96 children from every level in 4 kindergartens. Through interviews, observations, tests and literature, a summary and analysis of data have been conducted in terms of internal and external features of ideal children'teachers. On such basis, multidimensional discussion has been carried out and the results are as follows:(1)In terms of external features, children expect their ideal teachers to adopt more warm color in their dressing as well as using ornaments properly; as for their language, they are expected to be gentle, friendly and clear; and actions, intimate, close, humorous and lovely.(2)In terms of internal features, ideal teachers are supposed to be patient, considerate and tolerant. Furthermore, they tend to be more observant, skillful and knowledgeable, as well as to be able to create opportunities and space for infants'development. As to emotions, caring, respecting and understanding kids and being just are the most valuable merits infant desire their ideal teachers to have.(3)Children of different ages have different psychological needs for their ideal teachers. Children at reception class pay closest attention to the teachers'appearance and attitude; those at intermediate class expect teachers to give them more free time for games and to be more vivid and clear in language; while children at top class require teachers to be more reasonable, just and fair.In conclusion, two points have been differentiated in a reflective manner, one being the agreement of what children say about and think about, and second being the possibility of existence of such ideal teachers'in the eyes of children. Meanwhile, a reflection has been conducted on the shortcoming of this study.
