In recent years, a new approach of admission and education has been adopted by many colleges and universities. Students’studies, lives and thinking and behavior patterns are accordingly changed by this new method. Many students feel confused and puzzled about the approach, resulting in blind major-choosing and blind obedience, which has a direct impact on the students in the period of the university study in terms of the effectiveness of professional learning. Thus guiding and assisting students in this process has become an important issue in high educational institutions.Taylor and Betz brought Bandura’s self-efficacy theory to the study of the field of careers, and developed the Career Decision-Making Self Efficacy concept. This theory suggests that, with the same knowledge and skills in professional conduct, individuals have significant differences in career choice, career exploration, professional identity, professional attitudes, work performance, career development, and in this theory the Career Decision-making Self Efficacy plays a very important role. Major choice on the one hand is included in the framework of the career decision-making, and on the other hand because of its specific time limit, the specific environment in which decision-makers exist and their psychological states, there are obvious differences. Studies have shown that physical behaviors, psychological state and interpersonal adaptability have strong predicting ability for physical and mental health of college students. Research shows that there is an association of anxiety and self-efficacy. In social cognitive theory, the sense of efficacy during regulation and control of potential threats plays a central role in anxiety arouse process. Our study suggests that Major Decision—making self-efficacy is a career decision self-efficacy’s extension and refinement in colleges students, including a) the ability to estimate individual’s own cognitive ability, b) the ability to obtain professional information, c) the ability for target selection according to their characteristics and professional characteristics of the target major, d) the ability to make the implementation plan of professional decision-making, e) the ability to handle difficulties in major choice process. Based upon Betz&Taylor career decision-making self-efficacy theory, our study tabulates in a manner of integrated application of factor analysis. Results show that the design of the questionnaire in this study has good reliability and validity, and verifies the concept of the professional decision-making self-efficacy of college students. In addition, the level of social adaptation of college students, the existential anxiety and professional decision-making self-efficacy are strongly correlated. Students’major choice self-efficacy and professional commitment (Major commitment) have a significant correlation. Students’"alienation and loneliness anxiety","meaningless and emptiness of anxiety","death and the fate anxiety" and "condemnation and guilt anxiety" dimensions have significantly predicting effect upon adaptation ability of college students. Students’interpersonal adaptability, physical and mental symptoms, the overall environment recognition and adaptive learning have strong predicting capability on existential anxiety.
