To introduce"art therapy"to contemporary fine arts education, through the procedures of fine arts treatment activities, we can guide the children to ease their inward anxiety and confusion, give vent to their emotions, control their behaviors, solve their problems, thus achieving the purpose of the coordination and integration physically and mentally.And the"art therapy"can also help the teachers and parents to deal with their confusions and problems resulted from the difficulties in understanding the children's inside activities. And through the children's fine arts works, we can guide the teachers and parents to understand the inside development state and to identify the children's anxiety and confusion in time, and therefore, we can help the children out more pertinently, preventing them from abnormal activities.This subject will provide some reference and inspiration on the related researches of"art therapy"and on how to integrate the idea of"art therapy"into the development and practice of our nation's children fine arts education. This thesis illustrates specifically the application of art therapy on education from the following aspects:(1) To find the common points and differences between art therapy and fine arts education aiming at informing knowledge or entertainment, and to illustrate reasonably the connotation and extension of the art therapy, that is, the"art therapy"is the evaluating and treating activities around the visitor's creating process of fine arts and the finished art works under the guidance of therapist who has been trained formally in art skills and psychology knowledge.(2) To describe and analyze the process of art therapy. Based on the former researches of art therapy, the related elements of art therapy such as treatment room, medium material as well as the therapist were considered as the conditions for developing art therapy to illustrate in detail. Thus the researchers can fully understand the art therapy, and try to introduce and apply art therapy in the school's art education through the analysis of art therapy case meanwhile, referring to the psychological treatment process of conversation method.(3) To explore the particularity of art therapy and reveal the relation between art therapy and art education. Base on the characteristics of children's physical and psychological development, efficient methods were adopted to perform treatment, then it is found that the children's art therapy has more particular theoretical skills comparing to men's art therapy, and it is embodied in 3 aspects: 1: the providing and using of medium materials of children's art therapy; 2: the organizing process of children's art therapy; 3: the particular methods adopted by the therapist to treat the children. To explore the feasibility and validity of carrying out art therapy in the area of school fine arts education. It is presented that the there is a close relationship between the art education and art therapy on the psychological development of children. And it is also proposed that the integration of art therapy into the art education can be an important component of mental health and prevention, promoting the steadiness and completeness of children personality, and further the health, study, and development of children. Therefore, the arts can become an efficient way to express the emotions for children.
