With the continuous development of China's society,the demand for talents to adapt to social development is also higher and higher.As the successor of socialism,students have more and more burden and pressure.Take the sixth grade students of primary school as an example.The first stressful challenge they face is to go from primary school to junior high school.This kind of pressure comes from school,society,family,oneself,partner and so on.In the grade of eleven or twelve,they bear too many burdens that should not belong to them.These burdens and pressures that are difficult to cope with will have bad effects on their physical and mental health.So,what kind of person is the real "health",according to Professor Qian Chuxi's book "art education promotes adolescent mental health",the definition of "health" by the United Nations health organization is: "health is not only the absence of physical defects and diseases,but also the complete physical and mental state and good social adaptability." [Qian Chu Xi,art education promotes mental health of teenagers [M].Shanghai Culture Press,2007.]therefore,it is of great significance to pay attention to and solve the mental health problems of students from primary school,whether to protect the future development or to cultivate a sound personality.The main research content of this paper is how to apply painting therapy to primary school art teaching,and whether painting therapy can correct students' mental health problems.Through continuous exploration and teaching experiments,this paper summarizes a series of curriculum implementation methods of introducing painting therapy into primary school art teaching,and proves the role and feasibility of painting therapy through a large number of experimental data,so that painting therapy can be effectively applied to art education,and make some contributions to the overall development of art education.This paper mainly adopts the methods of questionnaire,literature and case study.First of all,the characteristics and current development of art education in primary schools are analyzed.Secondly,taking Yan'an Xincheng primary school as an example,a questionnaire survey and analysis were conducted on the mental health of 93 students in class 1 and class 2 of grade 6.On this basis,a course of art and painting was designed to cooperate with the questionnaire survey.This course is divided into different stages.In each stage,the art painting teaching method is used to cultivate students' basic knowledge of art and relieve students' psychological problems,learning pressure,life troubles,etc.,so as to promote their physical and mental health development and improve their aesthetic awareness and innovation ability.
