| With the modern social development and demand of education democratization, fair, individuation appearing, the class teaching system suited to industrial production showed increasingly their negative effects. So adjusting class size and implementing the smaller classes in the education is the key factor of social development and the improvement of quality of education, which concerned by the world wide.The scholars early research the relationship between the class size and the achievement of students. Results of this research provide a theoretical foundation about the implementation of smaller classes in education. As researching deeply, the researchers gradually shifted perspective to the study of the mechanism of smaller classes. The thesis employed Literature law and deeply explored the American's mechanism of smaller classes in education system, as so to understand how the educational fundamental elements influence mutually by the complicated way and further promote educational elements in the small class education and more fully utilize advantage of the small class education. It is divided into four chapter.The first chapter: The reality background and historical evolution of smaller classes. Acquaintance of the small class education about the development of history from the vertical; analysis of the production and development of social and educational background of small class education from the horizontal.The second chapter: Study of class size on the student's achievements. The class size provides conditions to study for the students. The class size influences the factors of education so as to students' academic achievements.The third chapter: The research about the mechanism theory of class size. Based on the theory about interaction of educational fundamental elements, the thesis analyse theory about the mechanism of smaller classes in education system by the different elements as center with the case studies in America so that to explore how the small class education positively influence the classes students'academic achievement.The forth chapter: The thinking of theory and revelation of implementation about smaller classes in education. Analysis of the groups, individualized teaching, teacher's professional development and environmental considerations about implementation of small class education are based on the mechanism theory of class size. |
