With the gradual deepening of higher education and expanding of enrollment, the employment of graduates naturally causes widespread public concern. In order to adapt to the market-oriented economy and social development, all the graduates of various institutions in China are currently facing the reform of employment system, the increase of labor groups and the quality requirements of the people from the employers. And the employers also put forward the need of high qualities of professional ideology. Students in vocational colleges also have to face such pressures. Therefore, the implementation of Professional ideology in the education of undergraduates is particularly important and urgent.Vocational college graduates are the main force of all the graduates. The school time is a critical period for the formation of the value of employment and the quality of vocational skills;However, vocational college students lack not only the career orientation and proper self-awareness, but also scientific professional ideology, which made the students be unable to graduate timely and effectively, thus becoming major groups of waste of human resources. The implementing of career education for the students of vocational colleges can help to achieve goals of higher vocational education and to be healthy growth of students, prepare for the employment and improve the competition of the students in the workplace so that they can help contribute to the development of the society and achieve their life values.This thesis, Career Education for Vocational and Technical College, makes an analysis from the following four aspects:In the first part of the text, the author analyzes the definition and the specific characteristics of higher vocational colleges'professional ideology and the need of the implementation of it for vocational college students. For example, it's to the benefit of chance of being employed and improving the vocational education and healthy growth of students.In the second part, the author analyzes theoretical basis of career education of students from education, philosophy, vocational theory, and also involving the context of professional ideology such as self-evaluation, education for students'career values, career goals and so on;In the third part, the author does a research about the present situation and problems of professional ideology of vocational college students through a questionnaire survey, interviews and other methods, and analyzes the leading causes of these problems from family, society, school education and schoolmates.In the final part, in order to improve professional ideology education of vocational college and bring forward reasonable recommendations such as strengthening the importance of professional ideology education, improving the system of career education, enhancing teachers'qualities, learning advanced foreign experience and so on. Through these methods, finally achieve the hope of inspiring the vocational college students'ability of obtaining employment.
