In 2001, the new round elementary education curriculum reform was implemented nationwide. Its platform《Guidelines for Basic Education Curriculum Reform (Tentative)》clearly prescribes that the new curriculum reform is to "actively develop and utilize the various curriculum resources in and out of schools."《Standard of Ordinary High School Politics Curriculum (Experiment)》also requests the development and utilization of the curriculum resources. Along with the intensified implementation of the curriculum reforem, the curriculum resources as a core concept has attracted the attention of the public, which plays a more and more important role. The curriculum resources become a luminescent spot, and it is necessary to strengthen the development and utilization of the curriculum resources.Curriculum resources play a prerequisite and foundational role in the basic education curriculum reform. But the value of the red resources actually has not brought to the political teacher's attention, which causes red resources not to be developed and utilized as the middle school politics curriculum resources. Due to its unique nature, the politics discipline has its own extremely rich curriculum resources. Thus, it is most suitable and necessary to develop and utilize curriculum resources in this discipline. Our country has rich red resources, and, acting as the circumstances permit, the development and utilization of red curriculum resources may enable us to take advantage of this educational superiority and promote student's health of individuality and their diverse development. Therefore, it needs our intensive attention.This article unifies the characteristic and the teaching practice of middle school politics discipline. Using the literature methodology, the investigation methodology, the experience summary methods and so on, it explores the politics red curriculum resources'development and utilization, the goal of which is to strengthen the consciousness and abilities of politics teachers to develop and use curriculum resources. It is sincerely hoped that the essay can be used as a reference for politics teaching in middle school. This article is divided into four major parts:the first part introduces the outline of politics red curriculum resources, including the meanings of curriculum resources, and politics curriculum resources, the definition of red resources and the definition and characteristics of politics red curriculum resources. The second part elaborates the necessity and feasibility of the development and utilization of the middle school politics red curriculum resources. The third part takes Linyi Prefecture of Shandong Province as an example, elaborating briefly the red resources in this area that may be utilized. It also points out the problems in the process of the development and utilization of the politics red curriculum resources, and further analyzes the causes of these problems. The fourth part is an exploration into the process of practice of Linyi Prefecture in red curriculum resources development and utilization in the subject of ideology and politics, elaborating the five basic principles in the development and utilization of red curriculum resources with the emphasis put on the three efficient approaches to the development and utilization of politics red curriculum resources.The development and utilization of politics red curriculum resources is a complex process, and it requires politics teachers to enhance their consciousness and abilities in the development and utilization of curriculum resources in the teaching practice. They need to make inductions and summaries in their teaching practice unceasingly, and according to the characteristics of the politics subject, develop and utilize politics red curriculum resource as circumstances permit. It is also necessary to try to reap the biggest benefit and to realize the biggest value in the execution of the curriculum, and to promote the all-round but individualized development of the students.
