In the Chinese textbook of current senior middle school, which edited by PEP (People's Education Press), the portion of classical Chinese is gradually increased. In the process of classical Chinese study, the annotation, which is the key to understand sentences and texts, is of importance. Generally speaking, the annotation of classical Chinese in current teaching materials is detailed, plain and believable. However, there are still some problems that are hard to be satisfied, such as overall annotation, cultural factor loss and fuzzy word meaning.Taking the classical Chinese version of new edited Chinese textbooks as the research object, using Exegesis Study as the method and combining with historical and cultural knowledge of the bearing social historical and cultural information to textual research, the paper makes some researches on cultural message, doubtful explanation and controversial issues. During the process of annotation, the author makes good use of multi-disciplinary theoretical methods to induce qualitative analysis. Efforts also are made in outlining semantic development and enriching teaching contents in classical Chinese by drawing upon the methods of synchronic and diachronic combination as well as individual study and systematic analysis.Words annotation is an extraordinary task. Based on many words in high school Chinese textbooks, the author chooses about twenty words to make annotation, including"姑","姥","丈人"as well as"商贾",which reflect the historical cultural change, and''传","黄泉","九","门","户","启"as well as''敛",which consist of political, economic, architecture, life and other fields of the connotation of culture words. The author also is trying to find out combination between language and culture and witness the intersection of the dynamic development.All in all, this paper focuses on the word meaning influenced by culture source, clarifies the development of words and expression as well as enriches the depth and width of word meaning. All the work done in the paper is to supply abundant cultural materials and give some reference to textbook editors and classroom teachers.
