Unit Teaching plays an important role in Chinese-language teaching. Unfortunately, it has received increasingly less attention lately. Starting with primary-school Chinese- language unit teaching, this article presents the characteristics of Chinese- language unit teaching and its present situation, followed by a deep reflection and an analysis of its advantages and disadvantages. It states the requirements of primary-school Chinese- language unit teaching considering its characteristics. Let's begin with the textbook, it should be able to balance the relationship between unit teaching and single-article teaching, between commonality and individuality. As far as pupils are concerned, we should care about how they feel, the development of their self-learning ability, and the improvement of their Chinese-language quality. From teachers' standpoint, we should stress how we can make use of the textbook creatively, prepare for single-unit teaching, establish a good environment for learning, utilize the media appropriately, and create a high-efficiency classroom climate. The body of the article presents the fruition of practice and research by presentation of ordering flows and implementation strategies of primary-school Chinese-language unit teaching in combination with demonstrations of teaching design. |
