It is an important topic of the domestic.and international basic education reform tocombine the physics history with the physics teaching. In the United States, both Science for all Americans and National science education standard pay much attention to "nature of science" and "perspective of history". The standpoint of "two cultures" problem of C. P. Snow and "make the science history an important bridge linking science culture with humanity culture "of G·Sarton make it emphasized increasingly to integrate science history (containing science philosophy) into the science teaching.Many national scholars have carried out researches about the physics history and educational functions of the development from theory and practice. Most of these researches is discussed and evidence of physics history in the important role of teaching. This study is about the present situation of physics teaching in junior middle school.In this paper, we first have analyzed the educational development of physics history in foreign and national science. The physics history theory and the present situation about practical research are investigated, and some deficiencies in the current research are pointed out. We also have some statistics about the requirements of physics history in standard of physics curriculum, presentation of physics history in physics teaching materials of Jiangsu science and technology press and the relevant information about physics history in last 4 years final exams throughout the country. Then we analyze the questionnaires about physics history for teachers and students, some problems about the physics history teaching are mentioned, we also make some suggestions about the problems. At last, some teaching advice about physics history is given to solve the different problems.
