Recent years, cooperative learning has become the hotspot of the educational reform. Group cooperative learning can promote students'development and improve the effect of class teaching, so it becomes one of the learning styles of the New Curriculum Reform and it is being widely applied in the class.How is group cooperative learning carrying out in the class teaching? The research is a case study of group cooperative learning at S high school in Changsha. It studies how group cooperative learning carried out in the class teaching currently. Through the way of observation, interview, survey and conversation, I find that group cooperative learning is carried out at S High School. Some teachers use the teaching style of group cooperative in their class teaching, students also accept it positively. But there are some problems which we can't neglect in the process of applying. Such as the deviation of goal setting in group cooperative, non-effective training of students, unreasonable design of the group-task, The improper time of the group-activity, The teachers's inappropriate instruction, and The imbalance of the participation, not well cooperation, And the useless evaluation of the group cooperative learningFor the problems which are found in the group cooperative learning , we put forward some advancing measures of group cooperative learning, which are on the base of analyzing the reason of the problems and using the theory of group cooperative learning.
