The new curriculum reform has gone through 14 years from the brewing, making experiments and the implements of nationwide, as the differences of the economy and culture, different versions of teaching materials will be selected in different regions, of which more representative ones are the textbooks published by the People's Education Press (short for"PEP") and Shanghai Scientific and Technical Publisher (short for"SSTP").New"Curriculum Standards"emphasizes physics'important influence on the scientific progress, culture, economy and the social development. In the background of globalization, the curriculum reform of each countries begins to pay attention to human understanding of social and cultural impact, STS(science-technology-society)course is a new course paradigm, this paradigm encourages the teachers and students to understand the scientific and social problems from the critical and diverse points of view, with the special subject the course fosters social responsibility of students from the interdisciplinary and discipline integration points of view, and it helps to develop the interests of students in science and culture and forester the correct view of the science. However, China has not set specific STS courses, but the senior high school stage has incorporated the STS into teaching materials, this study attempts to make a comparison and analysis between above two versions from quantity, contents and methods point of view, to analyze the similarities and differences to find out the strategies to improve the teaching materials, explore the way to improve teaching, provide the reference for the teacher and students to carry out effective STS teaching, provide some inspiration for the writing and modification of the STS in the teaching materials.
