Psychological studies have shown that psychological factors play a very important role in the English literacy training. It can stimulate, maintain, enhance or impede the advancement of English learning activities. And it is a key factor on improving students' English learning Currently, learning English is generally ignored among students of secondary vocational schools. Atmosphere in English classroom is dull. Students don't like learning English. They're lack of English literacy in psychological level. It has seriously affected the quality of English teaching in vocational schools. To improve vocational students'English literacy in psychological level can stimulate students' English learning motivation, guide and control the student learning goals and behavior of needs. And it is indemnification for improving the quality of English teaching. So it is needed for English language teaching in secondary vocational schools. At the same time, to train vocational students'English literacy in psychological level has become an important part in curriculum reform of secondary vocational English. And it is one basic way to achieve the goal of reform of secondary vocational English curriculum.Some secondary vocational schools of the Hebei Province are conducted a questionnaire survey. The results show that students'English literacy in psychological level has a close and direct relationship with the characteristics of English subjects and characteristics of vocational students. It is also related with other external factors such as English teachers, students'parents, school and so on. To learn English well is a long way. And it need practice. These characteristics of learning English have a certain impact on keeping a positive attitude, good learning habits and strong willpower when students are learning English. Those which include students'gender, profession, orientation of employment, level of achievement and others restrict severely the improvement of vocational students'English literacy in psychological level. Because structural differences in intelligence, girls are more interesting in learning English than boys in the process of learning English. They have more motivation, effort and persistion. And to learn English well is closely connected with the profession and a clear orientation of employment. In addition, other external factors have relatively large impact on students'English literacy in psychological level. Such as parents'level of education, their expectations for students, secondary vocational schools, vocational English teachers, teaching materials and so on. The higher level of parental education, and greater concern and expectations for students. Therefore students will learn English with the stronger motivation and persistence. It is more likely to fully train the students'English literacy in psychological level. The emphasis degree that secondary vocational schools for English courses and English teachers'factors which include level of knowledge, education, teaching methods, means, attitudes and academic literacy that perform in the education process will affect students learning motivation, attitudes, learning habits and willpower in a certain extent. The importance of English courses in secondary vocational schools, positive attitudes and appropriate teaching methods that English teachers use can train students' English literacy in psychological level easily. However, most of secondary vocational schools are not given enough attention and proper guidance on training students'English literacy in psychological level in the teaching process.Firstly, to training secondary vocational students'English literacy in the psychological level should stimulate the students' English learning motivation and help students develop good learning habits. Secondly, to training secondary vocational students'English literacy in the psychological level should enhance the education of teachers of English literacy. Thirdly, to training secondary vocational students'English literacy in the psychological level should strengthen the contact and co-ordination between English teacher and students'parents. Finally, the school should increase investment in basic courses, carry out reform of English teaching. The training strategies are adopted measures to train students' English literacy in psychological level from students, teacher, students'parents and vocational schools. |
