Research On Moral Education In Physical Education Of Universities

Morals are concept standards which are used to judge the right or wrong of people's behaviors and also the base for people to behave. The formation and development of morals are restricted by the social economy and political conditions and also influence the development of social economy and politics conversely. By indoctrinating moral concepts and principles, the morale education is aimed to help people form moral habits that people will abide by in general and thus raise the all-round moral level of society, promote the all-round progress of society and provide morale base and coordinated power for government by law. Meanwhile, it also accumulates"the Power of Humanities"for the development of economy. Ever since the reform and opening-up, with the formation and reform of the new economic conditions, new demands on moral ideas and values have been put forward.Therefore, in 2001, the Program for the citizen's ethical construction was issued. With the deepening and expansion of the citizen's ethical construction, the socialist moral system has gradually come into being in accordance with the socialist market economy. However,today, ten years after the program was issued, in some fields and areas in our society, the moral has been demoralized, the demarcation lines between right and wrong, good and evil and beauty and ugliness are obscure. Money worship, gastronomy and extreme individualism have been growing. Now and then, some people disregard moral principles in pursuit of profits, some others seek private gain at public expense. Still others have no credit. Some other people cheat and blackmail, which has done great harm to society. The phenomenon of seeking personal gain through abuse of government power and becoming corrupted and degenerated still exist. If these problems cannot be solved in time, they will do great harm to our economy and social order and also do great harm to the development and stability of our reform. University is a crucial period for the students to form their ideology and morality.Therefore, school education is the main channel for the advancement of ethics. In this essay, new ideas on Physical Education are discussed through research on Physical Education in universities. Physical Education has its special priorities in morality education. If Physical Education in universities is given enough attention and its function in morality education is exhumed, it surely will play an important role in the citizen's ethical construction. Physical Education in universities has its responsibility and can afford to undertake the task of morality educationBy applying data, interviewing experts, questionnaire, with the help of certain theory, through the discussion of priority, condition of Physical Education in moral education, methods to solve the problem are discussed in this essay.
