This thesis focus on the relationship between Leader competence and college organizationdesign, and the discussion aims to analyze the inner relation between leadership quality andorganization structure by the empirical thinking.Then it made clear the inner mechanism.First of all, the thesis reviewed a mass of literature, inducted and generalized the theory oforganization design, defined the meaning of organization structural dimension in this thesis, namelyfor complexity, normative and decentralization; Then from the classification type of leaders, itsummarizes the ethic leadership, transformational leadership and authorized leadership. And in thisbasis, the thesis extracts one level dimension of college Leader competence: Ethics, Role models,Vision, Power sharing and Personality care.Then it put forward the theory model and the researchhypotheses.The thesis adopts interview and questionnaire method to survey colleges in Jiangsu province,combining SPSS and AMOS. It concludes that Power sharing and Personality care of college leadercompetence has relation with college organization design.Both of Power sharing and Personalitycare is positively to the organization complexity, negative to the organization normative anddecentralization.At last, the thesis puts forward the college organization structure design strategy which wasbased on the competence of the leader perspective.It proposed that college organization shouldimplementing flexible management and binary system.
