As our country continues to step into popular higher education, our whole national quality has improved, which continue to promote social and economic development as well as all kinds of jobs. Meanwhile, the popular higher education also brings to employment questions that can't be ignored. The Independent Colleges that are responsible for nearly one-third of higher education have to face ruthless reality of employment. Talent cultivating is the lifeblood of university. If the university is not able to nurture students to become qualified people for the need of society, or satisfy the "marketable" need, the existence of the university will be threaten, not to mention the development of this university. As a result, how to cultivate qualified talents and how to connect talent cultivation with improved employment quality are the significant questions of the development of Independent College. The key of solution is that Independent Colleges must aim to cultivate talent and give students direct and corrective career planning, which make the task of the Independent Colleges' talents cultivation of talent and employment guidance effective. This paper introduces the related concepts of career planning and the situation at home and abroad and elaborates Independent Colleges' features, the unique feature of the talent cultivation and characteristics of their students. The author has sent out more than six hundred questionnaires about career planning situation to the students in different grades that come from Guangxi University Xingjian College of Science and Liberal Arts and made the empirical analysis. Through the analysis of eight modules in questionnaire by the SPSS software, we have ascertained the present situation of Independent College students' career planning. From this analysis and interviewing result, we have noticed several key influences on career planning including the academic teaching staff, the form of career planning activities, and the concepts of Independent Colleges carrying out career planning. Meanwhile, the relative fundamental theory of career planning serves as theoretical support. On the basis of analysis to reasons, we can put forward pertinent suggestions, including improve certain aspects of academic teaching staff such as quality, quantity, stability in the career planning of independent college students; make content of practice into professional cultivating plan to enrich student career planning activities, and an order for talent cultivation and pattern of project cooperation; create holistic and diversified career systems of Independent College students and construct appropriate campus culture.
