| Generalizing thinking has been studied in philosophy, psychology, interpretation, hermeneutics, and so on, while there has no independent subject formed, let alone forming an operable system of thinking. Therefore it does not embrace stability or clarity that a procedural knowledge system has. Due to the insufficiency in studies on the nature, method and ability formation of generalization, there exists in Chinese teaching a situation of "non-effect" or "low-effect" in cultivating generalization abilities. In Chinese teaching, a foremost task to improve generalization ability is to understand the importance of it and conduct research on generalizing thinking and thus put the research result into text analysis and teaching practice.The fostering of generalizing ability in Chinese teaching is not only a key step in enhancing students'quality of thinking and reconstructing the Chinese knowledge and teaching contents, but also a requirement of reaching the purpose of moral education and improving students' humanity accomplishments.From the concept of generalization, relations among various thinking processes, the holographic theory of language and thinking, and phenomenology theory analysis, we know that the thinking process of generalization includes "analysis, classification, comparison, abstraction and synthesizing", along with induction and deduction. The formation of generalizing ability must enter generalizing thinking process step by step.The generalizing ability is a basic language ability. When we grasp scientific generalization method, many problems in text interpretation, such as the controversy between monism interpretation and pluralism interpretation, correctly distinguish among author meaning, reader meaning and text meaning, can be easily solved. Scientific generalization method is one of the indispensable thinking tools in integration of Chinese tool and humanity. Immersion of moral education has to follow the rules of Chinese ability formation and development. The process of leading students into generalizing thinking, is a process of obtaining humanity education. Learning to use generalizing thinking to observe life, is profound significant in cultivating students'ability of thinking and their morality.Scientific generalizing thinking process and the establishment and utilization of thinking approaches, are innovatively significant in text interpretation and Chinese language education and teaching. |
