A Study On Developing A Vocational Mental Qualities Scale For The Vocational Colleges Students And Proposing Applied Research

The study of vocational mental qualities has been the focus of the all the vocational psychologist and colleges or universities during the last decades. In order to help all the vocational colleges to know their students'mental qualities situation and to provide the students a better employment based on vocational colleges, the purpose of this research is to set up a scientific and practical Vocational Mental Qualities Scale for the Vocational Colleges Students. And provide the students a career counseling measurement tool. Using the scale as a tool, the study explored the quality of vocational college students, and based on the realities, we provide suggestions and countermeasures.In this study, based on a comprehensive analysis of domestic and international research on occupational psychological information, we use questionnaires and depth interviews, and expert assessment and other methods, we construct a initial of vocational college students constitute critical dimension of professional psychological, and set on the scale of the basic dimensions of the scale, then we set on the Vocational Mental Qualities Scale for the Vocational Colleges Students. Base on the revise of the normal scale and made a formal reliability and validity testing. At the same time, using a formal scale for measuring tools, we collected a total of 3 areas of Hunan Province 780 subjects for the study of their grade, gender and place of birth and other factors are analyzed, and examined the current vocational mental characteristics of Hunan college students. And according to the status of Hunan, we provide methods and measures of how to improve and enhance the quality of vocational education students'mental qualities.The results of this study are as following:1. The Vocational Mental Qualities Scale for the Vocational Colleges Students consists of five dimensions, namely, vocational knowledge, vocational character, vocational ethics, vocational values and vocational 1 competence.2. The Vocational Mental Qualities Scale for the Vocational Colleges Students has high reliability and fair validity.3.Among the vocational college students, the male score of all dimensions is higher than the female, and there is a significant difference; the students of high grade in vocational mental level is higher than lower grades, and there is a significant difference; On born place, in addition to vocational knowledge and vocational competence in performance,the score of the students of rural-born in other dimensions is higher than urban students, and there is a significant difference except the vocational ethical dimension.4. The author proposed targeted education strategies and methods for vocational students'vocational mental characteristics.
