In 2005, in order to overcome mental disabilities' difficulties in employment and social integration, the Shanghai government introduced the "Mental Disabilities Sunshine Action", then successively establish 239 mental disabilities "sunshine family" (hereinafter referred to as the "sunshine family") in the streets and towns, to recruits meet the conditions of the mental disabilities become students, provide the education training, special Olympics movement, rehabilitation training and simple labor services. After 5 years, "sunshine family" has taken root in community. Mental disabilities Day Care Service has become an important public welfare service project, and brings good news for the mental disabled and their family.Take "sunshine family" for example. This article comprehensively uses literature, questionnaire, interview method and observation to collect research material, introduces the Shanghai mental disabilities Day Care Service's organization structure, operation models and the ways of service, and analyzes Day Care Service's degree of satisfaction and enhancement effects, and analyzes the bottleneck factors about the law and regulations, the services team and the supplies and needs in the foster service development. Based Upon those findings above, this article puts forward some Suggestions to establish and perfect the intellectual disabilities Day Care Service. At last the research is summarized and reflection.
