A Study On The Evaluation System Of Regional Universities Research In Western

It is significant to build one applicable evaluation system to universities' research status. Now in the western part of our country, there is no one well-established system to assess the regional universities' research. The existing system is partial and lack of standardization and scientific index. Some university even evaluate the professors' performance with the quantity of papers, which leads to the expansion of professors' selfish desire for benefit and fame, and no peruse for new research results and developing new research methods. Based on the geological environment, cultural environment, it is urgent to build a new evaluation system for the regional universities in the western part. In this paper, we have settled the objective of generating this system. With the guidance of the objective, we will use the level-dividing method, model-comparison method, and experiment-verification method. We should choose the universities in the west as research object, following the scientific, reasonable, and systematic rules, assess the research status integrally. At the same time, respect to the level of the university and its future plan, different content of research, we should bring out different, detailed evaluating index with proper weight. Mathematical theories will also be used in the evaluation procession. With detailed experimental analysis, the proposal has achieved the desired effect, with a certain kind of application feature.
