College Counselor is an important part of college teacher and management team, whoshares the dual identity of both the teacher and the cadre. He is the backbone in carrying outcollege students' ideological and political education as well as the organizer, the executor andthe instructor in the university students' daily ideological and political education andmanagement practice. We should take the counselor construction as the main concern of thecollege teacher building task, and promote the specialized construction of the collegecounselors. It is of great significance to fully implement the Party's education policy, adhereto the socialist orientation, and cultivate students' talent. As higher education becomespopular in China, college students' administration is facing more severe challenges. Buildinga high-level counselor team, promoting the specialization of the instructor team building, is animportant movement to promote ideological and political education, and cultivate qualifiedbuilders and reliable successors for socialism with Chinese characteristics. Since theestablishment of the preceptor, the instructor team-building and counselors work has made aconsiderable development, but there are many unresolved issues toward the professionalscientific direction.The United States enjoys its leading position in the world of higher education, and is themost prominent country as a market operating mechanism in the management. Its StudentAffairs has accumulated a wealth of experience. This paper learns from the experience of theAmerican College Student Affairs team building, combines with the characteristics of ourstudents work, and explores our instructor team of specialized construction. The specificcontent of this paper is as follows: the introduction talks about the research background,research objectives and research methods; the first chapter is the theoretical definition of theprofessional construction of the counselors; the second chapter analyzes the CollegeCounselors specialization construction, from its origins to the development, the presentachievement and the factors that influence our instructor team specialized construction;chapter three draws an analytical introduction to the status of U.S. College Student AffairsAdministration, concerned about the concept of professional development and professionalcharacteristics of the construction; chapter four through a comparative study to identify thesimilarities and differences of the Sino-US high counselor specialization construction; thefifth chapter studies further of the differences between the two countries and draws theenlightenment and significance of the specialization construction of College Counselors.
