At present, China accepts many international students that come from more than200countries since1954. National Outline for Medium-and Long-TermEducational Reform and Development (2010-2020), Study in China Plan, TheConfucius institute development planning (2012-2020) have been published andimplemented. As a result, more than320,000international students choose tocome to China for study in2012. So, it is necessary to standardize the educationand administration of international students of universities in China. According tothis, more and more scholars focus on international student administration. Thestudy is fruitful and meaningful. Most of topics refer to professional quality ofinternational student administration, in addition, cross-cultural communication andadministration and so forth. But there are limited papers on the themes ofinternational student administration professionalization. Accordingly and in viewof the imperious demands of international student administrationprofessionalization, it is the theme of this dissertation that a detailed breakdownabout international student administration professionalization of the School ofInternational Education in T University.The author uses five research methods in this dissertation. They are documentarymethod, interviewing method, deductive method, rationalistic method andcomparison method. In this paper, the author will make an analysis of all aspectsresearch of international student administration, at the same time, the use of studyof university counselors in China and student affairs administrationprofessionalization in university abroad for reference. Finally, make a detailanalysis about international student administration professionalization in China.When it comes to the conclusion of this paper, there are three aspects: First,ascertain the title of international student administration and its scope. Second,define international student administration professionalization according to whatare “professionalization”,” specialization” and”professionalism”, as well how toseparate them. Third, adventure a proposal of how to boost progress of international student administration professionalization is based on analysis ofinternational student administration in T University. After that comparison withstudy of university counselors in China and student affairs administrationprofessionalization in university abroad, direct a way of professionalization ofinternational student administration in T University, including post setting,vocational ability, standard, training programs, evaluation and incentive system.
