New curriculum reform of the history in secondary school are being implemented in full swing nationwidely. For the teachers, the new curriculum reform is not only a challenge, but also is an opportunity. The implementation of the new curriculum puts forward higher requirements on professional standards of history teachers and profound challenges on the educational concept and educational behaviors of the history teachers. If there are many high quality and professional teachers, new curriculum reform of the history in secondary school will be succeed. So there is more significance to understand and discuss the related issues of professional development of history teachers, to make clear the law of professional development of history teachers, to analyze the factors which affects professional development of history teachers, to look for the ways which can promote professional development of history teachers.Under the background of the new curriculum reform of the history in secondary, with the trail that professional development of history teachers and the breach that case analysis of the experience of professional development of the excellent history teachers, linking with the research of related theory of history teachers'professional development, this thesis discuss the related issues of the history teachers'professional development systematically. This thesis include five parts.The first part is the introduction. This part introduces the cause of research , the significance of research, the present situation of research, the thinking and the ways of research.The second part discusses the ways of history teachers'professional development and history teachers'mission under the background of the new curriculum reform.The third part analyzes the present situation of history teachers.The fourth part is the stress of this thesis. The topic of this part is case analysis of the experience of excellent history teachers'professional development.The final part put forward some thinkings about history teachers'professional development.
