Nowadays, with the development of the physical education reform, the senior high school physics education at home and abroad pays more attention to the cultivation of students'scientific quality. The author thinks that: as a part of reform, we should introduce more content of physics history to physics teaching timely, which enables students to "participate in" the process of discovering the physical concept and the rule, so that they can realize the fun of finding and solving the physics problems; And it can train the students' scientific methods and develop scientific thinking and cultivate their creative ability; Still can make students to understand how physicists promote the development of the physics, which can enable the student to establish correct world outlook, views on life and values.This article, in the view of the senior high school physics teachers, analyzes the current situation of the applied physics content in the physics teaching at home and abroad and the important significance of combining the content of physics history with high school physics teaching. It also describes the profound connotation of physics history, and the important role in improving the middle school physics teachers' professional ability and cultivating students. This paper also gives some high school physics teaching cases of physics history education, making the argument more fully. After the study of the physics history, this paper introduced some historical material and some present actual situation in high school physics teaching, making the argument got fully demonstrate.The new curriculum explicitly requests that we should pay attention to improving all the students' scientific literacy, which has presented the direction of the physics teaching– we must pay attention to the physics history education. However, because the knowledge level is limited and data is not enough and other factors, physics teachers'teaching work hasn't been implemented. And a questionnaire survey about the high school students'understanding of physics history shows that students have strong curiosity about physics history. In recent years, the national university entrance exam in some provinces appeared some questions about the history of physics, and the frequency of this kind of question in high examination test is higher and higher, which also adds some important chips to demonstrate the importance of physics history in high school physics education.
