The Study On The Preservation Of The Racial Culture Diversity By Analyzing The Change Of The Miao's Value For Marriage And Love

The Miao has a long history in China. The Miao's ancestors were recorded 5000 years ago in the ancient times. As the direct reflection on the individual values and national group's culture, the Miao's value for marriage and love changes accordingly with the times and society. As an important social behavior and psychological phenomenon, marriage and love not only act as the premise of getting married and establishing family, but also directly influence the marriage's quality and family's harmony. On the one hand, marriage and love depend on the people's interest and emotion, reflecting the inherent change of values; on the other hand, they are the reflection of social politics, economy and culture on individual behavior's selection. In addition, marriage and love are related greatly to the next generation's growing up.This study follows the way"Raise questions, analyze literature, investigate actuality, expound question, think solution". By observing and visiting the Miao in my hometown, I find the value and behavior of marriage and love in their daily life more and more declined with the influence of times and the development of the economy. Therefore, I think it is important for the preservation of the racial culture diversity. By analyzing the existing literature materials, I find few essays that discussed the great influence on the Miao and the change of their life custom and the traditional folk-custom culture including the costume, marriage, love, family and so on since China reformed and opened up. To study whether this phenomenon happened or not and the level of change, I have designed the questionnaires, the core of which is the value for the Miao's marriage and Love. By surveying the Miao's men and women in the Miao's village of Gulin in Sichuan province, investigating their life, doing questionnaire, visiting them face to face, and mixing society and culture's investigation and education investigation together, I study and decide the real condition of the Miao's present marriage and love in 8 aspects, including individual standard, ways and scope of choosing their partners, financial affairs in marriage and love, the cognition of marriage, paternity education and policy, the traditional and family, modern civilization and economic life influence。I will try to analyze the reason and influence of marriage and love, adopt the effective methods by law, politics, consensus, education, economy, folk and academic field, and think the Miao's particular race culture in the new times and the preservation of the excellent tradition as a whole to promote the harmony in getting along with the Chinese different races.
