Investigation On The Status Quo Of Critical Thinking Ability And Cultivation Mode Of Physical College Students

Modern society, it is an important factor to judge a nation whether have the potential fordevelopment, depends largely on whether it pays attention to the training of innovative spirit.As a esult, our country have maken cultivation innovative talent as an important goal ofeducation. In September2008, President Hu Jintao proposed to further promote our countryforward from a major sports country to a world sports power, which pointed out the directionfor the development of sports in China, but also put forward higher requirements for thetraining of sports talents. It is the key to deal with the challenges and seize the opportunity topromote the development of sports that cultivating innovative talents. As the critical thinkingability cultivation is an important parts of innovative education, and the power of innovativeability. In this paper, the status of critical thinking ability of physical university students wereanalyzed in the methods of literature, questionnaire, expert interviews, statistics and others inorder to create a complete mode of critical thinking ability cultivation for undergraduatestudents in physical university. And through the use of this mode to be able to training moreinnovation talent major in sports and educational, thus promoting the entire sports andeducation career in the developments. Meanwhile, it can also offer talents for the developmentwhole society, and further to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.In this paper, Chinese version of critical thinking disposition inventory,(CTDI-CV) andcritical thinking skills, influencing factors questionnaire were used. CTDI is a special form ofthe internationally recognized to judge the level of critical thinking ability, and criticalthinking ability to influence factors questionnaire was prepared by author and after areliability and validity tests. Respondents were selected from undergraduates in sevenuniversities: Colleges of the Wuhan Institute of Physical Education, Beijing Sport University,Peking University, China Agricultural University, Southwestern University, YangtzeUniversity, Hubei Institute of Fine Arts. On the other hand, four majors of physical education,sports and arts professionals, Human Movement Science and Sports News in Wuhan Instituteof Physical Education and the Beijing Sports University were selected survey analysis.The critical thinking tendency of critical thinking ability to meter is divided into sevendimensions include: truth thinking, open-mindedness, analyticity, systematicity,self-confidence, inquisitiveness and cognitive maturity. This paper studied about the sevencritical thinking dimension. The survey results suggested that critical thinking ability of ourundergraduates is lacking, and all of them don't have significant critical thinking ability.Compared with sports colleges students, sciences and engineering students have morestronger critical thinking ability, and Literature and history students and Art students have no critical thinking abllity. In sports colleges, there are no basic characteristics of critical thinkingin the major of sports journalism and sports arts, but the students majored in HumanMovement Science have strong qualities of critical thinking. Physical Education Majorstudents have basic critical thinking traits. There are different critical thinking ability fordifferent grade student, and the freshman have highest ability, and then, it flows down withthe increase of age. In the gender factor, boys have the qualities of critical thinking, and whois better than girls in sports institutionsAfter studying influencing factors of critical thinking ability, the results are below: themajor impact factors of critical thinking ability including self-study habits, learning attitudesand interests; school teaching philosophy, teaching content and teaching methods; familyeducation, families democratic atmosphere and parents their own behavior; social mainstreamway of thinking.According to the analysis of influencing factors of the critical thinking ability of theuniversity students in physical, we have gotten a complete mode of critical thinking abilitycultivation for undergraduate students in physical university. The modes include: update thePE teaching concept; establish a correct teaching objectives that fitting to develop the sportsinstitutions; improving the curriculum provision of Physical Education Institute; improvingteaching methods of sports college teachers; and update the PE evaluation mechanisms tostrengthen the teaching ability of sports institutions teachers; Besides, family educationshould be advocated to strengthen the cultivation of interest in the child, foster children goodstudy habits, and create a family atmosphere of democracy, to establish a good attitudetowards learning, the use of a good family education, constraints, the parents of their ownbehavior. Social education should strive to create a tolerant social environment, to create ademocratic atmosphere in the collective.
