Study On Assessment System Of Island Tourism Resources

Island tourism resources are prerequisite to carry out activities in island tourism. The key to protect and explore island tourism resources is to make a scientific and comprehensive evaluation. Beginning with theory introduction, this thesis is based on analyzing scientific connotations of island tourism and island tourism resources and discusses characters of China′s island tourism resources. Then it studies on how to establish a scientific, comprehensive and practical island tourism assessment system for exploratory research.Firstly, with an in-depth study on theory of island tourism and island tourism resources, this part confirms that the kernel concept of island tourism resources, island tourism resources have eight features. The specialties and disadvantages of existing assessment systems of island tourism resources are analyzed, and reorganizing the thesis research involved about geography, travel, landscape, ecology, environmental studies and many of the emerging cross-disciplinary basic theories of the assessment of island tourism resources laid the theoretical foundation.Secondly, an assessment system of island tourism resources with three subsystems, condition of tourism resources, regional conditions, location features, is established. The system has four-level frame, including object level, sub-object level, standard level and index level, and 58 indices.According to the characteristics of different indicators and evaluation according to sources, identified the island tourism resources evaluation system score. Because of detailed evaluation criteria, the value specificities of island tourism resources better than existing ones.Thirdly, through investigating experts and researchers, AHP and APCA are used to determine the weight of each index. On comprehensive evaluation level, tourism resource has the most weight; weight of regional conditions is the second, locational feature owns the least weight. On the evaluation of tourism resource level, water area landscape has the most weight, followed by human tourism resources, climate landscape, physiographic landscape, island special resources and biology landscape. On the evaluation of regional conditions level, weight of Socio-economic conditions has the most weight, followed by tourism infrastructure, the weight of the natural environmental condition is relatively smaller. On the evaluation of location features level, transport accessibility has the most weight.Using Likert scale to quantify, and finally establish a comprehensive rating model for resource evaluation and development of the evaluation results corresponding to the rating scale .Last, Changhai County tourism rescouses are evaluated according to this assessment system. Da-changshan Island, Xiao-changshan Island and Guanglu Island are divided into secondary tourist areas, Zhangzi Island and Haiyang Island are divided into three-level tourist areas. The conclusion of evaluation is substantial common with reality in Changhai County, which means the assessment system of island resource has good interoperability in practice.
