As a higher level of the city's development, urban agglomeration is a formation of city group which is formed either by spontaneous behavior or by the government-led move. Since 50 in the 20th century when the form of urban agglomeration emerged, more and more countries have approved this type of development and continued to promote the formation and the expansion of the urban agglomeration. These policies aimed at building up Growth pole, thus boosting the regions in and around as well as the economic development of the whole country.In China, several urban agglomerations developed early, such as Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, Southern Liaoning, Beijing-Tianjin and other places. Nowadays, our country are trying its best to accelerate the process of urbanization and perfect the formation mechanism of urban agglomeration in order that more areas can build up the urban agglomeration to drive the promotion of the whole economy.Shandong Peninsula Urban Agglomeration is one of the most important rising group whose responsibility is to bring along the prosperous of Shandong province and even the Bohai Sea Rimland and at the same time, to facilitate the shift of from foreign industry. Improving the spatial layout of the cities, promoting the mobility of the resources between cities and forming the style of the spatial economic relationship can solve the current problems in the development of Shandong Peninsula Urban Agglomeration.The essay is based on the characteristic of spatial economic relationship between cities in Shandong Peninsula Urban Agglomeration and analyses the economic connected intensity, the efficiency of resource mobility and spread effect towards outside areas of the eight cities by the use of several methods and models—Gravitation model, Economic Location Degree, Euclidean Distance method, model of Urban Flow Intensity. Through these analyses, this essay defines the radiation effect of the two central city—Qingdao and Jinan,make clear that the manufacturing industry can be the leading industry of the urban agglomeration and get the city's tendency between economic aggregates and outward function. This essay then poses corresponding suggestions:①continuously push forward the development of manufacturing industry to improve the overall economic strength;②to adjust industrial structure and form the regional discrepant competition;③foster the common market of the economic zone and make effort to share the resources;④strengthen the leading role in Qingdao and increase its economic radiation intensity.By comprehensively analyzing the characteristic of the spatial economic relationship between cities in Shandong Peninsula Urban Agglomeration, this essay broaden the scope of the study of Shandong Peninsula Urban Agglomeration in the terms of theory and deepen the understanding of Shandong Peninsula Urban Agglomeration in the terms of practice, thus providing a new way of thinking for the coordinated and healthy development of the future of Shandong Peninsula Urban Agglomeration, Shandong Province and even the Bohai Sea Rimland.
