Dynamic monitoring of land use is to achieve a comprehensive grasp of thepowerful means of land use. The completing task of traditional dynamic monitoring inland use is mainly carried out by human, but land use survey of artificial human spenda lot of manpower and material resources and inefficient. With the rise of the remotesensing technology, people actively explore to use of these high-tech achievements formonitoring the utilization of land resources. In particular, as for the continuousimprovement of the remote sensing technology images, high spatial resolution, highspectral resolution and high temporal resolution remote sensing images, they arepopular and give the new technological means and methods for the change of land usemonitoring. This paper summarizes research results at home and abroad on the basisof the use of remote sensing in Sanjiang Town of Chongzhou City Sichuan provincein both 2009 and 2010, two phases of Quick Bird and SPOT5 of terrestrial resourcessatellite as the data source, which in support of these professional remote sensingimage processing software such as ERDAS MAGINE9.2, PHOTOSHOP, ARCGIS9.3and MATLAB for the year 2010 land use survey. In this thesis, land use monitoring of the remote sensing technology have astarting point to study the changed pixel detection and changed pixel extraction. Thespecific study includes changed pixel detection method and based on wavelettransform and fusion of the changed pixel detection and based on image segmentationmethod to achieve the changed pixel extraction of land use. The main contents of thethesis are as follows:1) The problem of changed pixel detection method selection: for differentdetection methods and different types of land use changed pixel inconsistencies withsensitivity, so when you extract the changed pixel you will use three or more methodsof changed pixel detection to be compared changes in order to effectively prevent theomission of polygons which to provide a guarantee for the accuracy of the follow-upof polygon extraction. 2) The problem of changed pixel extraction: analysis of the characteristics of thechanged pixel image feature based on threshold method. Test results show that theproposed segmentation method can meet the actual requirements.3) Through field investigation and treatment within the industry, the thesisanalyzes land use monitoring results in Sanjiang town in 2010.
