Study Of The Chinese Automotive Cluster's Upgrading In Global Value Chain

For years, automotive industry of our country has made great contributions to the economic development. But it is an undeniable fact that our country automobile industry's competitive power is not globally strong. How to enhance automotive industry's competitive power along the global automotive value chain , which has become an urgent task. According to the characteristics of China's automotive industry, this article studies the development questions of our country automobile industry colony from global value chain perspective. The purpose is to give suggests to promote our country automotive industry's competitive.This paper studies the upgrading of automobile industry cluster in China, mainly combining the theory of global value chain(GVC). Firstly, it refreshes the theory of GVC, and simply summarizes the theory from driving mechanisms, governance model, upgrading paths and other aspects. Also it analyzes the formation of GVC fragmentation and local industrial clusters, and points out that GVC fragmentation promotes the formation of local industry clusters. Secondly, it refers the value distribution of the automotive industry value chain ,and also a number of cluster development problems are pointed out . Again, analyze the status of China's automobile industry cluster and point out that in the global value chain China's automobile industry cluster is in a weak position, then give its upgrade path selection,mainly product upgrading or function upgrading . Finally, gives some strategies on upgrading of China's automobile industry cluster.This paper takes Chinese auto industry as object, the global value chain as research tool and promoting automobile industry cluster as research purposes. And also uses various methods to study the upgrading of automotive industry clusters , such as theoretical analysis, value chain analysis, comparative analysis and case analysis .and puts forward related suggestions. This paper argues that in order to promote China's automotive industry cluster upgrading, independent innovation within a cluster becomes very important, besides, it is essential that gathers the government supports. These suggestions have certain directive significance for the development of China's automobile industry cluster.
