Core Competence Of Bank Of China

The status of the finance is more and more important in the economy. The size and the efficiency of the financial system has become one of the important factors of pushing or constraining economic development. Banking is the foundation and the main part of a country's financial system. The core competitiveness has an direct impact on the competitive position of the comprehensive national strength. Therefore, analyzing the operating conditions of the listed commercial banks and objectively evaluating their competitiveness situation have an important significance both for regulatory authorities maintaining the healthy development of the financial industry, and for providing a competitive strategy for the listed commercial banks in China.In this paper, the author studies the core of the competitiveness of listed commercial bank based on the enterprises core competence theory . First, the paper defines the background and significance of topics, reviewing and summarizing the core competence literature about the commercial banks on. Second, combining the core competence theory, the paper discusses the relationship between the enterprises core competitiveness theory and the commercial banks core competence. The paper analyzes the content of the core competence from the definition, the nature and the feature of the commercial banks.?Based on the previous research, the paper builds a commercial banks core competence evaluation system, drawing on previous research results. Then, taking the Bank of China Limited corporation (referred as: the Bank of China, the same below) as an example, the paper analyzes the competitiveness situation of the Bank of China with the method of the SWOT analysis .At the same time, the paper analyzes the core competitiveness between the Bank of China and the main foreign banks, and the core competitiveness between the Bank of China and China's other core banks, using the previous evaluation system.Finally, based on the SWOT analysis and the comparative study, the paper puts forward the following four strategies for enhancing bank of china core competence: accurately position strategy, strengthen and improve risk management, enhance innovation, develop and manage the human resources.
