Research On Development Of Reservoir Fishery In Fujian

The situation of vast population and limited farmland, single food structure, grain in short supply, and low income of farmers has long restricted Fujian agriculture and rural economic development.The water resources in Fujian are rich and the reservoir fishery has a long history,so how to take full advantage of resources, carry out rational planning and enhance fishery aquaculture scientifically has very important practical significance on expanding agricultural development space, increasing food source, improving food structure, optimizing ecological environment, and increasing farmers' income.This paper analyzed the superiority and significance of developing the reservoir fishery in Fujian, pointed out the difficulties and questions on developing the reservoir fishery such as production's lacking planning, unclear property right, unreasonable aquaculture, obvious environmental pollution, imperfect socialized service, and ineffective protection of fishermen's rights and interests.Combined with the local development status, this paper also submitted the new ideas and new countermeasures as follows. The development of the reservoir fishery should take "ecological, safe, effective fishery" as the goal. The related government and personnel should insist on reasonable development planning, develop aquaculture scientifically, innovate system and support the development; innovate planning and orderly develop; innovate mechanism and ascend development; innovate management and regulate development; innovate service, push forward the comprehensive and sustainable development of reservoir fishery, promote the mode change of Fujian agricultural economic development, and make more contribution for the realization of Fujian rural economic development and increasing peasants' income.
