The research of urbanization, which has been the focus to many scholars, extends to the fields of economics, geography and statistics, etc. Urbanization is also one of the important indexes to a city and regional development. According to the research results in a regional development, putting forward the corresponding constructive suggestions is favorable strategy for the improvement of people's living standards. With the improvement of science and technology, the level of urbanization research on objects, methods, processes have shown multi-level time and space combination. For the large scale, the research of city level has relevant academic achievements and reports on thirty four provinces in china, but for small towns and villages, the research measure urbanization level is relatively weakly. And the ideas and methods compared with the developed country scholars also have certain disparities. As the government issued 'Chang-Ji-Tu open development zone strategy guide', as one of the important preview window, Yanbian Korean's urbanization and urbanization spatial structure is starting to show its high research value. Therefore, choosing Yanbian as study area, we explore the urbanization differences and process by making use of Geoda095i (space), GIS, SPSS17 software to measure the urbanization level and analyze the population, economy, scale factors. During the time of globalization and internationalization, it is worth promoting the accurate positioning of spatial pattern to lay the foundation for urban development and related regional policy in the further. The thesis consists of the following three aspects:1. Based on the finishing related theory of urbanization and urbanization space, from the integration of qualitative and quantitative methods, we analyze the urban spatial differences and process research. Firstly theoretically analyzing and concluding the urbanization and urbanization process; then constructing urbanization level measurement index system using six principles. The results in terms of the economic urbanization, population urbanization, the quality of life, and social development are:we extract four principal component factors using the principal component analysis in SPSS and fit the models of the urbanization development level in Yanbian; the eight counties respectively rank as Yanji, Dunhua, Huichun, Wangqing, Antu, Helong and Tumen.2. We proceed to Q type clustering by four principal component factors, and the urbanization level is divided into four categories:high urbanization area:Yanji; Higher urbanization area:Dunhua; Medium urbanization area:Huichun; Low urbanization area:Tumen, Helong, Antu and Wangqing. Analyzing its urbanization spatial pattern can get that Moran 'I indexs are non-agricultural level (-0.2668), economic level (-0.2684), quality of life (-0.1028), social development level (-0.2550). Yanji non-agricultural level's space difference is big and its level is high, but peripheral level is low, forming core-periphery type (except Dunhua) spatial distribution pattern. The space differences of non-agricultural level and urbanization comprehensive factor is similar. The space difference of economic level is small, which can create such a developing mode that border periphery drives internal counties living standard. Quality of life space difference is not significant, the overall forms block distribution. The whole developing of the urbanization level is fast, but the urbanization development level difference is bigger in countries, appearing'the polarization'phenomenon. On this basis, we try to give an accurate positioning of the urbanization level.3. From the view of population analysis, the gravity of population for Yanbian has been mainly moving southwest from northeast in the last 11 years within Chaoyangchuan Town, and the Clark model is the most appropriate population density model fitting for Yanbian. The Moran'I changing curve of the population density shows reverse "U" shape, and there is obvious scattered distribution of space characteristics, this kind of space convergence trends are relatively obvious for Hunchun City and Longjing City. The frequency distributions of the scale factors and economic factors of Yanbian towns are skewness, showing the "spire-fat tail" type distribution. And the differentiation degree of the scale factor is greater than the difference of the economic development levels. So the above analysis is supposed to provide corresponding countermeasures for the future development of Yanbian.
